Stay tuned for the launch of this new coalition effort

Rights of Nature Initiative (RONI) is a new coalition project in development focused on collaboration, education, and connection around rights of nature concepts in Washington State.

This page is a brief introduction while the coalition framework and full project website continue to take shape.

What RONI is

RONI is being developed as a collaborative space for organizations, tribal organizations, community groups, legal advocates, professionals, educators, and others working in alignment with rights of nature principles.

Its purpose is to help build relationships, share knowledge, and strengthen collaboration across Washington-based efforts connected to watershed protection, ecological justice, legal strategy, and community action.

There is no cost to participate. RONI is intended as a coalition for collaboration, education, networking, and coordination.

How it fits with our related organizations

RONI is being developed as a coalition space, while our affiliated organizations serve distinct public and nonprofit roles.

What’s next

We are still building the framework and parameters for this coalition.

A separate website, ronicoalition.org, is currently being revamped for this next phase. This page will serve as a simple introduction until that broader project launches.

For now, we invite visitors to explore our related work and check back for updates as RONI takes shape.
